Texacote uses a range of high performance external rendering systems from a number of market brand leaders such as Johnstones, K Rend and Wethertex™ to suit a variety of customer's requirements.
Most external coloured renders tend to be of an acrylic base here at Texacote we take this one step further by using the most advanced systems on the market with breathable properties and allowing home owners and businesses to NEVER PAINT AGAIN. Using Silicone and Pliolite based finishes dependant on choice of colour.
Often the existing render will need to be removed but in some cases it will be taken to a solid base this would depend on the current condition of the render and substrate.
All base coats are applied using a Polymer or GRC renders to give excellent adhesion and strength to work in conjunction with the finished products.
Scaffolding is often required we would help organise this and would advise as needed.
With a long lifespan up to 15 year Guarantee these products and applications give you peace of mind.

K-rend is a silicone range which incorporates silicone water repellents as an integral part of the cement based render system. The silicone technology imparts a high degree of water repellence to the render surface whilst allowing water vapour to pass through the render and let the substrate breath.
The water repellent surface ensures a freshly rendered appearance for prolonged periods. The finish is drier and thus more resistant to algae growth.
K-rend application
Once the defected render or paint work is removed and the scratch coat has been applied, the surface is ready to receive the top coat of K-rend coloured mortar system.
Using a darby or straight edge the top coat of K-rend is applied to the ready prepared surface at a thickness of 16mm, from this there are a choice of two finishes to the render.

ecorend base coats are high performance, one-coat polymer modified products. They are formulated using unique cross-linked polymer technology offering the highest levels of flexibility and adhesion available in the market today. The products offer excellent levels of workability and can be applied on to most building substrates in low temperatures.
ecorend coloured renders are all high performance cement based and one-coat. Pre-mixed, ready to use with the addition of clean water the only requirement. Highly polymer modified increasing their adhesion strength and adding a highly water repellent quality, shedding water from the surface of the system while allowing vapour to pass through the render.
All products have been designed to have excellent workability and open time properties. The through colour and one-coat feature allows faster application with reduced program periods, thereby reducing associated scaffolding and site costs. One-coat 1 product for the job, if required all products can also be used as a finish coat in conjunction with an ecorend base coat render.
ecorend plastic beads offer a value for money alternative to stainless steel beads because they are made from cost effective recycled exterior grade, impact resistant, UV stable PVCu and are guaranteed not to stain or corrode like galvanized steel beads, reducing spalling and impact damage. Designed to outlast their metal counterparts, plastic beads are guaranteed to be fit for purpose for the lifetime of the render and at least 25 years. Our PVCu beads match the stipulations of the British and European standard for the design requirements of metal beads and lath (BS EN 13658-2:2005), are BBA certified, Class 1Y fire rated, and are not affected by weather.

Fibrocem High Impact Render Systems
Fibrocem High Impact Render is a pre-mixed ready to use material with the addition of clean water the only requirement. The Fibrocem High Impact Render range is a 2 or 3 coat system that provides extraordinary durability and a class O fire rating. The application of Fibrocem High Impact Renders are similar to standard renders, requiring the use of a stainless steel trowel, and straight edge rule. The Code of Practice for Renders BS 5262 1991 and NBS Building Specification section M20 should be followed.
The Fibrocem render system helps architects, building owners and surveyors to comply with Section B2 of the Building Regulations and fulfil there professional obligations under the Regulatory Reform ( Fire Safety) order (RRFSO).
